Body Sugaring–A Sweeter Method of Hair Removal

We’ve had all kinds of fun changes to close out the summer at Gaia Salon and Spa—we’ve gained a new up-do designer, we’ve added a massage therapist to our ranks, and our esthetician has added a new spa service to her repertoire: body sugaring!

But what exactly is sugaring?

Good for your skin
Sugaring is an all-natural body-hair removal technique that uses a paste made from lemon, sugar, and water.  These simple ingredients do not stick to live skin cells; they only pull away tiny hairs and dead skin cells, giving an exfoliating and lubricating effect and leaving you with great skin!

Less painful
This technique does not require the same heat as waxing, and the hairs are removed along their direction of growth instead of against the grain, making sugaring a less painful method.  It’s a great option for those with sensitive skin.

Leads to permanence
Sugaring can remove even shorter hairs than traditional waxing, and with consistent treatment, sugaring can lead to permanence—at a fraction of the cost of laser hair removal or electrolysis.

So now you’ve got the skinny on sugaring…

Come take advantage of any of our new services this fall.  We look forward to seeing you soon!
