Generosity is the habit of giving freely without expecting anything in return. It can involve offering time, assets or talents to aid someone in need.
Happy Earth Day! We would like to thank our community for helping us celebrate Earth Day in our salon this month. We have paired up with AVEDA and so far have raised over $2000 for the Audubon Society this year and we still have a week left. Our goal is $3500 so here is what we have left –
We will celebrate next weekend with a bake sale at the salon on Friday April 29th and It is not too late to start baking!! We would love for the community to donate baked items this next Thursday evening or Friday morning. You can drop your yummy donations off at the salon and then come purchase some goodies for the weekend!!
We will end the month at our local Manhattan Sunset Zoo for their Earth Day Music Celebration on April 30th. We will be getting Wild with our hair booth for the kids. For more information follow the link : http://www.ci.manhattan.ks.us/index.aspx?NID=22
Our first annual Gaia Garage Sale was a great success – we raised $1000 in 4 hours!! WOO HOO!!
We completed our First Annual – Earth Month Collection Cookbook with the help of our team and local residents we were able to put together a beautiful tastebook that will benefit the Manhattan Sunset Zoo all year long. $10 of every book sold goes to the Conservation Programs at the zoo.
