In light of the events that have unfolded in the past month, this post seems even more appropriate that it is our first one and right before Earth Month 2011. Aveda is launching a new candle in time for Earth Month and our goal is to increase awareness of the need for clean water around the world. The limited-edition soy wax candle is made with 100% certified organic ingredients and contains lavender, lavvandin and clary sages to create a beautiful aroma.

We will be celebrating Earth Month this year with some new events in the month of April.
Our first Edition of our Earth Month Cookbook will be available for purchase the second week of April in the salon and online. Earth Month Cookbooks will retail for $29.95 and $10 will go to our local Manhattan Sunset Zoo!! Be watching for more information!
Secondly we will be hosting a Gaia Garage Sale at Mary’s house April 16th. Our team has been cleaning out their closets, basements and kitchens to provide things to reuse, recycle and reclaim at our 1st annual Gaia Garage Sale. All proceeds of our garage sale will go to raise awareness for clean water.
Finally, we will have a bake sale towards the end of April to also raise awareness for clean water. Be looking for the date we will post it very soon.
